# Quickstart

> Your first project in a few minutes.

  <Step title="Sign up">
    Sign up with email or Google, then pick a username.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a project">
    Click **New project**, pick a template or **Blank canvas**, name it, and click **Create project**. Projects are private by default.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add blocks">
    Use the toolbar on the left, double-click empty canvas for a note, or paste and drop files straight onto the board.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Organize">
    Group related blocks in a composite, split big sections into boards, and click **Tidy up** to pack things neatly.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Share">
    Click **Share** to invite people as editors or viewers, or make the project public for a view-only link.
